Anne is a folk singer from Bray, Co. Wicklow, singing all her life but only taking to the bigger stage at this point after raising her family - Anne is the mother of Ireland International Goalkeeper Darren Randolph.
She sings songs from the rich reservoir of Irish, Celtic and American folk genres and blends these with classic melodies from the likes of Thomas Moore, Robbie Burns and more.
Her voice is soulful, crisp and clear and her strength is in her capacity to tell the story of the song and reach the heart of her audience with each note and beautiful tones.
She brings the songs of Joan Baez, Joni Mitchell, Janis Ian, Bob Dylan, Leonard Cohen and others to the stage and keeps life in these beautiful songs. Her new show adds the work of Irish greats such as Mick Hanly, Jimmy McCarthy and more.
She has an amazing band supporting her: Vera Craughwell on Accordion, Keith Donald on Clarinet, Garvan Gallagher on Double Bass, Matthew Mazanek on Classical guitar and Mary McNicholas on Backing Vocals. They have a rich, mellow, acoustic sound with the blend of instruments perfectly supporting the vocals.
Anne and her band sold out The Mill Theatre, Dundrum in 2018, and was back there again on the 6th September with her new show ‘Legends of Folk’. She has taken her show to the West of Ireland and had a sold out show there too!
The Sugar Club, Leeson Street was another fabulous venue during the year.
